CD Estepona and CDC Estadio Sign a Partnership Agreement to Promote Youth Soccer in Estepona

CD Estepona and Club Deportivo y Cultural Estadio (CDC Estadio) have signed a partnership agreement with the goal of continuing to promote the growth of youth soccer in Estepona and fostering the development of the city’s young soccer players.
This partnership is part of the growth process that CD Estepona is undertaking in its youth academy, strengthening its structure and forging closer ties with other clubs in the area to offer young players greater opportunities for training and development.

Monitoring and Development of Young Players

Through this agreement, CDC Estadio de Estepona will be able to benefit from various resources and the support of CD Estepona’s structure. The red-and-white club will conduct monitoring and evaluations of promising players, with the goal of identifying those who can continue to progress within the CD Estepona structure.
In addition, both organizations will promote the exchange of technical knowledge and training methodologies, as well as the possibility of jointly organizing friendly matches, tournaments, camps, and training sessions.
The agreement also provides that CD Estepona may offer the opportunity to participate in training sessions or tryouts to those CDC Estadio players who stand out for their talent. Furthermore, CD Estepona will have preemptive rights over other clubs that may express interest in players belonging to CDC Estadio.
In this way, both organizations aim to establish a collaborative framework that provides young soccer players in Estepona with more opportunities to continue their training and athletic development.

Antonio Sánchez: “We want nearby clubs to be able to collaborate together”

Antonio Sánchez, coordinator of CD Estepona’s reserve team and Juvenil A squad, highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen relationships with clubs in the city and the surrounding area.

“This is another step toward our goal of building closer ties, so that clubs near and adjacent to our city can collaborate, and so that our Club Deportivo Estepona can continue to grow.”

Regarding the terms of the agreement, Sánchez noted that the collaboration is primarily based on making resources and infrastructure available to CDC Estadio:

“Basically, it’s collaboration—whatever they need, we’ll help them with it. Since we have more infrastructure than they do, we can support them so they can continue to grow as well.”

The coordinator of the reserve team and the Juvenil A squad added that CD Estepona is interested in ensuring this collaboration continues on a day-to-day basis:

“We want them to be part of our day-to-day operations, to help us with any young player they want to promote to our teams, and for us to be able to work with them someday.”

Manolo Cáceres: “The kids are going to benefit in many ways”

On behalf of CDC Estadio, its president Manolo Cáceres explained that the agreement represents a step forward for an organization focused on sports training from an early age.

“We are a club dedicated to the sports training and education of children from an early age, and we have been promoting sports in Estepona for quite a few years now.”

The president of CDC Estadio explained that the opportunity to work together with CD Estepona will allow his club’s players to benefit from the red-and-white club’s infrastructure:

"They have a stronger infrastructure than ours, and our kids will always be able to benefit in some way from many things through Estepona."

Cáceres also highlighted the growth of CD Estepona’s structure and the professional character the project is taking on:

“The word I’ve conveyed to both Julen Guerrero and Antonio is ‘professionalism,’ because the truth is that the club has taken a giant leap forward right now and is already operating from a more professional perspective. That’s very important for our city.”
