CD Estepona player Maxi Benites was featured on the Twitch channel malaguistastv, where he gave an interview to Darío López in which he reviewed his personal career, his growth within the first team, and the current situation of the Estepona team in Segunda Federación.

During the chat, Benites confirmed that this weekend's match will be played at the Francisco Muñoz Pérez Stadium, highlighting the importance of playing at home again and having the support of the fans in a demanding match against Xerez Club Deportivo.

The 22-year-old Argentine footballer described himself as a player with clear goals and a constant desire to learn. After starting the season in the youth teams and the reserve team, Maxi has established himself in the first team, something he recognizes as a privilege: "I never thought I would make a living from this, I never thought it would happen."

On a collective level, Benites highlighted the good mood in the dressing room after entering a positive run of results, emphasizing the professionalism and joy that can be felt on a daily basis. In this regard, he particularly valued the point earned last weekend on a difficult pitch, which reflects the team's hard work. The player also looked back on his career in Argentina, where he played for Godoy Cruz, before leaving football and starting work. His arrival in Spain was not initially linked to professional sport, but rather to a change of lifestyle, until the opportunity arose to try his hand at local football, first at ADC Esteponense and later at CD Estepona's reserve team, where his performance opened the doors to the first team.

One of the most special moments of his career was his debut in the Copa del Rey against Málaga CF, an experience he described as "a dream" and which marked a turning point in his sporting career.

Benites also highlighted the arrival of the new coach, Manolo Sánchez, emphasizing the change in the team's day-to-day routine and the motivation he brings to the dressing room: "You can see the professionalism he brings. It's a pleasure to train like this."

Looking ahead to the next league match, the player acknowledged the difficulty of the opponent, but insisted on the confidence in the weekly work and the importance of support from the stands. Finally, he sent a direct message to the CD Estepona fans: "Trust that with hard work and sacrifice, this will happen. I am confident that we will maintain our position in the division."
