This CD from Estepona can no longer be explained—it must be felt

There was a point in the season when everything seemed like an uphill battle.

The standings.
The momentum.
The atmosphere.

But that no longer describes today’s CD Estepona.

Because what’s happening now can’t be understood just by looking at the numbers.

You understand it by watching.
You understand it by feeling it.
And, above all, it’s understood by believing in it.

From Doubt to Conviction

Just a few months ago, staying up seemed like a distant possibility.

Today, with 29 points and just 4 points from the relegation play-offs, the picture is completely different.

But the change isn’t just in the standings.

It’s something deeper.

The feeling.

For the first time in a long time, a significant portion of the fanbase has stopped looking at the table with fear and started looking at it with purpose.

Because now it’s real.

Now you can see it.

A team that knows what it’s playing for

There’s something that defines the current Estepona.

And it’s very hard to explain if you haven’t seen it.

This team doesn’t speculate.
It doesn’t wait.
It doesn’t just survive.

This team goes out to win.

It presses high.
It competes for every ball.
And it plays with a clear plan from the very first minute.

Before, there was doubt.

Now, it’s recognized.

The names… and something even more important

You could point to specific names.

The growth of Javi Duarte, setting the team’s pace.

The impact of Ariel Herrero, who became the “signing” that transformed the attack.

The return of Alfonso Liceras, who came back to provide security and character from the back.

But it would be unfair to stop there.

Because what is sustaining Estepona isn’t just three players.

It’s an entire squad that’s fully committed.

And that’s what turns a season around.

A fanbase that has also taken the leap

The change hasn’t been limited to the field.

It’s noticeable off the field, too.

The atmosphere has changed.

The connection between the team and the fans has grown.

And more and more people are no longer just going to the stadium to see what happens.

They’re there to cheer them on.

This Saturday, moreover, everything is set for Muñoz Pérez to be a factor once again.

Fan zone, atmosphere, pre-match build-up… and a stadium that can make a difference.

Because in these kinds of matches, the context matters too.

A Saturday That Could Close the Gap

This matchday could paint a very clear picture.

If the results go our way, Estepona could move to just one point away from the playout.

One point.

After having been fourteen points behind.

After many had written us off.

After months of fighting.

It’s not about staying up.

But it is something just as important.

Being in the mix.

It’s no longer about the numbers

There are 7 matchdays left.

There are 21 points left.

And yes, the math is there.

But there’s something that carries more weight right now.

The momentum.
The identity.
The belief.

Because what once seemed impossible…

today is starting to seem inevitable.

A team that has decided not to give up

Estepona has already done the hardest part.

Coming back.

Now the final stretch lies ahead.

The most demanding one.

The one that separates good stories from the ones that are remembered.

And this team, now more than ever, has something it didn’t have before.

Conviction.
