Cristian Fernández ‘Titi’ underwent surgery for a scaphoid fracture in his right hand

The CD Estepona soccer player underwent surgery this afternoon at Hospiten and is expected to be sidelined for about two weeks

Cristian Fernández, known on the field as “Titi”, underwent surgery this afternoon for a scaphoid fracture in his right hand, according to CD Estepona.

The player underwent surgery performed by Dr. José María Crespo at Hospiten, an official sponsor of CD Estepona, and was accompanied throughout the procedure by Álvaro Rodríguez, the club’s physical therapist.

The injury was already visible in images shared by the club during the trip to Algeciras for the friendly match, where Titi appeared with a splint on his wrist. Despite the injury, the player took the field with his wrist bandaged.

Titi Is Already Thinking About His Return
Cristian Fernández himself sought to reassure his fans via social media after undergoing surgery:
“Today I underwent surgery for a scaphoid fracture. Many thanks to Dr. @dr.jmcrespo for the quick and excellent procedure. Many thanks also to @cdestepona for their services and to our physical therapist @alvaro.rodriguezz. I’ll be back in no time! Thanks to everyone for the messages.”
According to the estimate provided, Titi is expected to be sidelined for about two weeks, although his return will depend on his progress and recovery following the surgery.
The player is now undergoing the recovery process with the goal of returning to the field as soon as possible and rejoining training with CD Estepona.

Stay strong and get well soon, Titi.
