A do-or-die match: CD Estepona arrives in Linares in top form… with everything on the line

Some games can be explained.

And some games are simply played.

Sunday’s match falls into the latter category.

CD Estepona arrives in Linares on a roll.

With solid results.

With confidence.

And with a clear sense:

they know how to compete in this kind of game.

A team arriving at the right moment

The numbers speak for themselves.

But above all, so do the feelings.

Victory in Lorca.

A draw against Extremadura.

Victory in Xerez.

A draw against Melilla.

Win in Almería.

Estepona isn’t just racking up points.

They’re competing.

They know how to dig in.

They know how to bide their time.

And they know how to strike.

Because they’ve learned how to play these kinds of matches.

A tough opponent… and a reliable one

Linares isn’t just any opponent.

They’re coming in on a solid run.

Without major ups and downs.

Picking up points.

Competing.

And winning important matches.

They’ve been able to beat teams at the bottom of the table.

And compete against top-tier opponents.

Plus, they’re playing at home.

With the chance to practically secure their survival.

They’re not a complacent team.

They’re a team that knows what they’re doing.

The kind of game we’re going to see

It won’t be an open game.

Nor will it be easy.

It will be a game of pace.

Of duels.

Of small details.

One of those where every ball counts.

Because one team is playing to secure its position.

And the other is playing to make a push.

And when that happens…

the match gets tougher.

Where everything could be decided

There’s a clear key.

Intensity.

Estepona needs this match.

And that has to show.

In every press.

In every battle.

In every 50-50 ball.

Because in these kinds of scenarios…

often, the team that plays best doesn’t win.

The team that presses hardest wins.

Don’t change what works

The message is clear.

Keep doing what you’re doing.

Press.

Go for it.

Don’t second-guess.

Because this team has made it this far with a very specific mindset:

to go out and win.

And now is not the time to change it.

Every ball counts

These kinds of matches aren’t played at 80%.

Or even 90%.

They’re played at 100%.

Because every play counts.

And every mistake matters.

That’s why there’s a clear demand:

Give it your all.

Leave nothing on the field.

Confidence… with tension

The two coexist.

Confidence, because the team has proven it can do it.

Because it has made it this far on its own merits.

And tension, because the moment demands it.

Because everything counts.

And because there’s no margin for error.

It all begins on Sunday

April 19.

5:45 p.m.

Three matches.

Nine points.

And a countdown.

Nothing has been decided yet.

But everything is on the line.

Because not everything is decided on Sunday…

but it does start to be decided.

And that’s where everything is revealed

Not in the preview.

Not in the standings.

Not in the numbers.

On the field.

When the ball is rolling.

When the opponent presses.

When the moment weighs heavy.

That’s where you see who’s ready.

This can’t be explained anymore

It’s played.

It’s competed.

It’s decided.

Because after everything we’ve been through…

after everything it’s taken to get here…

the next step is just one.

Go out… and prove it.
