A very important victory for our reserve team, who beat a strong Antequera side 1-0 tonight, putting them in a privileged position in the play-offs for promotion to the Division of Honor. It was a very serious game for our team, who showed their fans that they are in good form and why they are at the top of the table. They showed this very early on, in the 5th minute, with a great play by Rayan on the right wing, who outran his defender and sent a good ball to Pomares, who shot, but the goalkeeper managed to clear it. The rebound fell to Luis Felipe, who managed to find the net and make it 1-0.

It was a great few minutes for Estepona, who, spurred on by the goal and their fans, were creating danger in the Antequera area, especially through Rayan and Luis Felipe, who was very active and had another great chance, but this time the goalkeeper managed to save the ball.

Around the halfway point of the first half, Antequera gradually took control of the game. With strong pressure, they managed to take the ball away from us and began to create danger, with Cayetano very incisive.

However, between our good defense and Raúl, who was imperial throughout the game, they thwarted all of Antequera's attempts. And it was precisely Raúl who, with a spectacular save, prevented the equalizer. He made a good save from a powerful shot by Oscar, just as the visitors were about to celebrate the goal. The score remained 1-0 at halftime.

The second half continued as the first had ended, with Antequera wanting to take center stage, playing in the opposition's half and creating danger in almost all their moves. Antonio Sánchez made some substitutions to bring in fresh legs and try to change the dynamic of the game, but the visitors continued to press and we waited to transition quickly, hoping to take advantage of an opportunity to kill off the game.

But today was one of those games where we had to put on our "work clothes," and our team did so brilliantly, showing that they are a well-drilled unit that can adapt to all kinds of circumstances. With this in mind, the last few minutes were a struggle, and Antonio Sánchez's boys once again rose to the challenge. Antequera was desperately looking for a goal, but once again Raúl prevented the equalizer with a good save from Juanmi's shot. In the final minutes, with Antequera already committed to attacking, we had a few chances on the counterattack, with a shot from Rodney that didn't find the target. But in the end, there were no more goals and the three points stayed at home.

This was a hugely valuable victory for the reserve team, which has now gone five consecutive games without defeat and occupies fourth place in the table, with a seven-point lead that entitles them to play in the playoffs for promotion to the Division of Honor.

We would like to congratulate these guys, who show us time and time again that they have no limits, and thank all the Rojilla fans, who have once again proven that they never fail to turn up for the big games. CONGRATULATIONS! COME ON ESTEPONA! ❤️💙💪🏻
