CD Estepona's reserve team defeated UD Fuengirola Los Boliches 2-1 in the 1st Andalusian Senior League, while the Youth A team beat AD Malaka CF 1-0 in the 2nd Andalusian Youth League. Both teams played their matches on Sunday, October 18, at El Ciprés Stadium, as part of the sixth matchday of the 2026–2027 season. These were two important wins for Estepona’s youth teams, which continue to work on improving their form and advancing in their respective competitions.

CD Estepona’s reserve team defeats UD Fuengirola Los Boliches 2-1

CD Estepona’s reserve team secured another home victory after defeating UD Fuengirola Los Boliches 2-1 in a closely contested match that came down to small details. The Estepona team took the lead, extended their advantage in the second half, and had to play the final minutes a man down after their only available goalkeeper was sent off.
The match, part of the sixth round of the 1st Andalusian Senior League of Málaga, was played on Sunday, October 18, at 4:15 p.m. at El Ciprés Stadium. Referee Jesús González Jiménez officiated the match, assisted by Raúl Carmona Sedeño and Francisco Javier Ruiz Tirado.

Raúl Baldanza and Pedro Berruezo Score for the Reserve Team

The first goal of the match came in the 32nd minute. Raúl Baldanza converted a penalty kick to make it 1-0 and give the home team the lead. The score remained that way until the second half, when the reserve team managed to extend its lead.
In the 63rd minute, Pedro Berruezo scored CD Estepona’s second goal, making it 2-0 and giving the home team greater peace of mind.
However, the match still had a major incident in store. In the 69th minute, Albert Holm was sent off after leaving the penalty area and bringing down an opponent. The red card had particularly serious consequences for the reserve team, as Holm was the only goalkeeper on the roster.
Faced with this situation, Víctor Bourdes had to put on the gloves and take on the responsibility of defending the goal for the final stretch of the match.
UD Fuengirola Los Boliches took advantage of the final minutes to try to get back into the game. In the 89th minute, Antonio Jesús Morales scored to make it 2-1, narrowing the home team’s lead and adding excitement to the finish. However, the reserve team managed to hold on to its lead until the end and secure the three points.

An Important Win to Build On

The victory marks another positive result for the reserve team at El Ciprés, although the team is not yet firing on all cylinders and must continue to improve its performance on the field.
The match once again demonstrated the importance of winning at home. These results allow the Estepona squad to gain ground in the standings and approach their daily training with greater peace of mind, with the goal of continuing to correct mistakes and improve their performance in the coming matchdays.
On the disciplinary front, in addition to Albert Holm’s ejection in the 69th minute, the match saw several yellow cards. David Cornejo was cautioned in the 22nd minute; Álvaro García, in the 36th; Javier Salazar, in the 44th; Calum Hatton in the 51st; Joe Oliver in the 58th; José Antonio González in the 82nd; and Raúl Miguel Fuentes in the 89th.

The reserve team ends the matchday in 12th place

With Matchday 6 now complete, CD Estepona’s reserve team sits in 12th place in the standings with 7 points, after recording two wins, one draw, and three losses in its first six matches.
The team remains, for the time being, outside the direct relegation zone. It’s worth noting that the bottom four teams in the competition—those in 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th place—will be relegated.
Next weekend, the reserve team will face CD Pizarra Atlético CF, which sits in 14th place with 5 points. The opposing team has a record of one win, two draws, and three losses, so the match will be another opportunity for both teams to earn points and improve their standing in the standings.

CD Estepona’s Juvenil A Team Defeats AD Malaka CF 1-0

The matchday also brought a victory for CD Estepona’s Juvenil A team, which defeated AD Malaka CF 1-0 thanks to a goal by Guido Ballejos late in the game.
The match, part of the sixth round of the 2nd Andalusian Youth League in Málaga, was played on Sunday, October 18, at 6:30 p.m. at El Ciprés Stadium. Referee Christian Galván Macías officiated the match, assisted by Daniel Morales López and Ahmed Rharrhar Laglaoui.
The Estepona team secured three important points against a strong opponent in a match where they improved considerably in the second half and created numerous scoring chances before finally finding the back of the net.

Guido Ballejos Seals the Victory in the Final Stretch

The first half ended scoreless, with both teams looking for a way to take the lead. The Juvenil A team stepped up after the break and put on a particularly strong second-half performance.
The team had approximately six to seven clear scoring chances, though a lack of finishing prevented them from converting their offensive dominance into goals until the final minutes.
Their persistence finally paid off in the 84th minute, when Guido Ballejos, assisted by Alberto Neila, scored the game’s only goal to seal the 1-0 victory.
The goal allowed the Juvenil A team to secure a hard-fought victory against a competitive opponent. Beyond the result, the team’s performance was encouraging, especially given the level of play shown after halftime and the scoring opportunities created.
The win marks a step forward for the Estepona squad, which continues to refine aspects of its game and work toward further improvement throughout the season.
