Official | Sergio León, CD Estepona's new signing to strengthen the midfield

C.D. Estepona has officially announced the signing of Sergio León, a midfielder from Murcia who arrives to strengthen the reds' midfield in this decisive stage of the season.
Born in Los Alcázares in 1997, Sergio León is a versatile central midfielder who arrives in Estepona from Santomera CF, where he was having a great season in the Third Division, with four goals and an outstanding performance that had made him one of the most important players in the category.
At 28 years of age, CD Estepona's new player has extensive experience in Group IV of the Second Division, having played more than 80 games in the category. Trained at clubs such as Pinatar CF and UCAM Murcia, Sergio made the leap to Mar Menor CF, where he achieved promotion to the Second Division and established himself as one of the pillars of the San Javier team.
After his spell at Mar Menor, he signed for FC La Unión Atlético, also in the Second Division, where he remained for two seasons, coming close to promotion to the First Division last season.
Now, Sergio León joins CD Estepona in this winter transfer window to bring experience, balance, and versatility to the midfield, with the aim of helping the team in the fight for survival in this final stretch of the championship. From CD Estepona Fans, we welcome him and wish him the best of luck in this new stage as a red player.
