An unmitigated triumph for the reserve team, who defeated Cártama with a spectacular 9-1 victory. The visitors suffered from being a man down very early on and were toyed with by Estepona. The match began very evenly, with both teams aware of the importance of these three points. Cártama came out bravely, pressing high up the pitch with the aim of neutralizing our game and stealing the ball. But our boys, as usual, were not intimidated by anything or anyone and competed head-to-head against a team that was much more experienced than them. With a very solid defense as a starting point, our team gradually took control of the game.

Then came the key play in the 25th minute. Manu sent a good long ball to Rayan, who outran his defender and was brought down inside the area. Miguel Montesinos converted the penalty to make it 1-0.

The visitors were very upset and protested the referee's decision. Their player Francisco Ruiz and coach "Pirri" were sent off. From then on, it was a different game, with Cártama more concerned about the referee than trying to turn the result around. Our team saw the opportunity and didn't waste it. They stepped up a gear, making it almost impossible for the visitors to react. Rayan was the star again, scoring the 2-0 after receiving a good ball from Victor. Then Rodney, after a pass from Rayan, made it 3-0, which was the score at halftime and practically the final score, because the match was already decided.

The second half was a real walk in the park for the Rojillos. With Cártama already down and out, our team continued to do their thing. They played good soccer, competed to the maximum, and entertained the fans, who were once again behind their team, with good play and goals. Dioni scored twice, as did Pomares, who scored another two, Pelayo, and Rodney again, completing this veritable rout. The visitors' consolation goal was scored by Orejuela. A spectacular victory for Antonio Sánchez's boys, who have now won three games in a row and are now serious contenders for the promotion play-offs. We are running out of adjectives for this team, who, let's not forget, are newly promoted and who prove to us every game that they have no limits. Their next opponent will be Fuengirola Los Boliches. CONGRATULATIONS. WE CONTINUE. WE ARE ESTEPONA! ❤️💙💪🏻
