EXCLUSIVE | Iván Muñoz joins CD Estepona on the final day of the transfer window

CD Estepona Fans can confirm exclusively that Iván Muñoz Pereñíguez will be the new player for C.D. Estepona on this last day of the winter transfer window, with only the club's official announcement of the deal remaining.

The 23-year-old Spanish defender arrives from C.D. Arenteiro, where he has been a regular in the team's defensive rotation in Primera Federación, the division in which he has competed for most of this season. Born on February 27, 2002, in Santomera (Murcia), Muñoz stands out for his versatility, being able to play both as a left back and a center back, a quality that is particularly valued in the Estepona team's sporting plans.

Standing 1.82 meters tall and weighing around 75 kilograms, Iván Muñoz combines physical presence, good positioning, and good judgment when bringing the ball out, especially from the left side. Trained in the Valencia CF youth academy, the defender played for Valencia Mestalla, where he completed his training before making the leap to senior football, subsequently competing in the Second and First Federations.

In his recent career with Arenteiro, he has made over 50 official appearances between the Second and First Federations, establishing himself as a reliable and consistent player in defense. Although he does not stand out for his scoring record, he does so for his tactical discipline, solidity, and ability to adapt to different systems, qualities that have allowed him to compete consistently in demanding categories.

The deal will be finalized on a key day, as today is the last day of the winter transfer window. This move, made with the clock ticking down, gives Iván Muñoz's signing special weight within the club's sporting plans for the second half of the season.

In addition, CD Estepona Fans can reveal that the club is working against the clock to try to close two more signings before the transfer window finally closes at 11:59 p.m. today, Monday, although these deals will depend on the outcome of negotiations in the final hours.

With the transfer window closing just around the corner and several fronts still open, intense hours are expected in the CD Estepona environment. At CD Estepona Fans, we will continue to report on any developments until the last minute, as always, being the voice of the fans.
