One X One

The One x One: CD Estepona 1 - 1 Linares CD

We review the individual performance of CD Estepona players after the draw against Linares CD.

⸻

**Goalkeeper

13. Liceras ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3/5).
Very confident and dominant in his area. He transmitted confidence and commanded the team. His pending subject is still the game with his feet. In the goal he could not do anything.

⸻

**Defender

21. Marín ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3/5).
Serious game on defense, as usual. Lacked more offensive depth, perhaps because the game was more left-sided.

4. Titi ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(3/5)**.
Always reliable, although he committed some indecision in the ball exit that could have cost him dearly in the first half.

22. Caro ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
Great performance by the captain. Fast and forceful in the cuts, safe in the exit of the ball, especially in the first half.

3. Candelas ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)
Good game in defense and attack, perfect understanding with Javi Castedo. He still needs to reach his best physical condition.

⸻

Center of the field.

6. Juanan ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
A great performance by the player from Seville. He perfectly fulfilled the role of third central midfielder and provided constant defensive assistance.

14. Eneko⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
Differential, creative and very hard-working in the recovery. His card and lack of rhythm after injury conditioned his start and changed the course of the match.

18. Asier ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(3/5).
From more to less, like much of the team. He left details of quality and good positioning.

⸻

**Forward

16. Ballarín⭐ (1/5).
Little participation. The team turned the attack to the left and did not have the offensive help of Marín, more defensive.

20. Sancho⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
The positive surprise of the match. He won duels, pressed and recovered balls. He lacked the goal, but left very good sensations.

11. J. Castedo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
The best of the match. Vertical, unbalanced and always making good decisions. He was a nightmare for the rival defense and a new idol for the fans.

⸻

Substitutes.

17. S. Baradji ❌ (0/5).
Far from the level he is known for. Unaccurate and lost in the field. Needs to get up to speed.

7. Ramón Blázquez ❌ (0/5)
Did not contribute either in positioning, play with the ball or without it. A match to forget.

23. Expósito ⭐⭐ (2/5).
Entered in the worst minutes of the team. Even so, he showed dynamism and spark.

9. Ariel Herrero S/C
Entered in the final stretch with muscular discomfort. He suffered from it and ended up injured.

⸻

Coach.

Mikel Llorente ⭐⭐ (2/5)
In the first half he was for 5 stars, but we downgraded him to 2 finally because in everything he could influence the game with changes and system of play in the second half, he failed to do so and made the team worse. The visiting coach clearly got the better of him in the second half. He has room for improvement.
