*El RINCON IMPOSES LOGIC AND DEFEATS THE AFFILIATE 4-1*

It wasn't to be, and the reserve team lost this morning to a much stronger Rincón side by a clear 4-1. The match began with Rincón imposing their will at all times, dominating and outplaying us in every duel and aspect of the game. Our team was outplayed at every turn by a side with much greater sporting and financial potential than us. We were only able to withstand the onslaught for 15 minutes, which was how long it took Rincón to break through Miguel's goal. It was Perico who, from a cross, slipped the ball into the top corner, scoring a real cracker.

The home team were masters of the game and four minutes later, they put some distance between themselves and their opponents when Álvaro picked up a rebound and scored the second with a good shot. After the 2-0, our team stepped up the intensity and, as usual, continued to compete and fight for every ball in search of reducing the deficit. And they succeeded, after a good play by Nando, who was brought down inside the area. Miguel Montesinos converted the penalty to make it 2-1. But just when it looked like we were going to reach halftime with that score, another defensive lapse was taken advantage of by Yerai, who scored with a good cross-shot to make it 3-1 at halftime.

In the second half, Antonio Sánchez made some substitutions, trying to spark a reaction in the face of the home side's clear superiority. But today was not our day, and Rincón, playing with minimal effort, outplayed us.

And to make it even fairer to what we saw on the pitch, Kiko beat Miguel again with a shot from the edge of the area, making it 4-1, which was the final score. There is little to reproach our boys for, as they could do little against a team designed exclusively for promotion and with a strong financial investment. They competed until the last minute and gave it their all as always. Despite the defeat, our first of the second half of the season, we remain in fourth place, in a playoff position, and with our aspirations intact. Our next match will be against a direct rival, CD Cártama. LET'S KEEP GOING, GUYS! WE ARE ESTEPONA! 💙❤️
