*The reserve team comes back to defeat La Cala 2-1 in an epic match that ended with nine players.*

A huge win for our reserve team, who beat La Cala del Moral 2-1 in a thrilling and exciting match, including a comeback from 0-1 down. The match started very evenly, with both teams knowing that much of their league aspirations were at stake today.
La Cala approached the match with a strong defense and quick transitions, taking advantage of the speed of their forwards. Our team, true to their style, pressed high and were very competitive in all duels, trying to attack down the wings, taking advantage of the small spaces they left, where Manu and Juanpe created danger.
In the 28th minute, the key play that would determine the outcome of the match occurred when our player Nando was sent off with a straight red card for a comment to another player, which the referee heard and sent him off.
Despite being down to 10 players, the team did not falter and barely faced any danger, holding up very well against an opponent who was waiting for their chance to move quickly with their two dangerous attackers. The score was 0-0 at halftime. Things couldn't get any worse, but two minutes into the second half, Thomas hesitated on a pass to Raúl, which fell short, and Ethan took advantage to put La Cala ahead, making it 0-1.
Antonio Sánchez reacted and brought on four players at once, which was key to the comeback. The team overcame adversity and went all out for the win. Manu, in a great individual move, played a good ball into space for Rodney, who finished beautifully to make it 1-1. But today was one of those games where we had to resort to the "epic." Ten minutes after equalizing, a series of defensive errors ended with Pelayo being grabbed inside the area, resulting in a clear penalty. Álvaro shot high and wasted this great opportunity for his team.
The last few minutes were a real "scramble," with us taking advantage of our positive momentum and eagerly seeking the winning goal, and them moving forward with great danger, even hitting the crossbar.
And the ecstasy came at the edge of the 90th minute. Dioni grabbed the ball at the edge of the area, dribbled past his defender, and with a tremendous shot, filled with red soul and cheered on by fans who believed until the end, placed the ball in the top corner for the final 2-1.
And to make the victory even more heroic, we had to face the last 5 minutes of injury time with 9 players, as Rodney was sent off for a hard tackle. With this heroic victory, Antonio Sánchez's team consolidates its position in the promotion spots, with a 5-point lead. This coming Wednesday, we will play at home again, against Cártama, in a postponed match. Congratulations! THANK YOU, FANS! WE ARE ESTEPONA. ❤️💙🔥
