Midfielder Javi Grillo close to joining CD Estepona

According to what we have learned, midfielder Javi Grillo, born in Sotillo de la Adrada on December 3, 1997, is close to becoming a new CD Estepona player after not completing the preseason with CD Arenteiro. At 27 years old, Grillo arrives to the Andalusian team as a free agent, in full soccer maturity and with a profile that fits the needs of any team looking for balance in midfield. His style is characterized by his vision, ability to organize from the back and precision in passing, but also by the defensive work and intensity he brings. He is a player with experience and leadership, who throughout his career has proven to be a committed and reliable player.

His career began in the youth categories of prestigious clubs such as Atlético de Madrid and Getafe CF, where he polished his technical and tactical qualities. In his senior stage he played for CF La Solana and Villarrubia CF, where he accumulated more than forty games in Segunda B and established himself as an important player. Later he wore the shirt of Marbella FC and SD Ejea, before making the leap to La Union Atletico, a team where he not only became a key player in the Second Federation and where he was minutes away from promotion, but also wore the captain's armband, showing personality and leadership in the locker room. His experience in different competitive contexts has allowed him to grow as a player and mature in his reading of the game.

Now he will face a new challenge in CD Estepona, although his incorporation is surrounded by some uncertainty. The red and white club does not currently have any free senior cards, which raises doubts about how the player can be registered in the official competition. Meanwhile, Grillo will train in the coming hours with the squad and awaits for the club to find an administrative or sporting solution that will allow him to make his debut as soon as possible. The arrival of the midfielder is a quality reinforcement for Estepona, which seeks to strengthen its competitive project, and the outcome of this situation will mark his immediate future within the club.
