CD Estepona has started the season by proving that it has more than enough firepower to threaten the opponent's goal. The red-and-white squad has scored ten goals, a figure that places them among the highest-scoring teams in the division and reflects one of the key strengths of their start to the season: the ability to score from various positions on the field.

With ten goals to their credit, the Estepona squad ranks among the highest-scoring teams in Group IV of Segunda RFEF, a standings led by Recreativo de Huelva with thirteen. But beyond the numbers, one statistic deserves special attention: as many as seven different players have found the back of the net in these first six matchdays. This speaks to the team’s variety, depth, and offensive resources. Goals know no positional boundaries at CD Estepona, as evidenced by the distribution of goals among defenders, midfielders, and forwards.

On the defensive line, Alfonso Candelas has been one of the key players, scoring a brace in the 3-2 victory over Club Atlético Central, while Maxi Benites was the team’s first scorer with his goal in the painful 1-4 loss to Linares Deportivo on Matchday 2.

Important contributions have also come from the midfield. Pablo Arriaza sealed the victory in Puente Genil (0-2), while Sandji Baradji has taken on a special role in recent matches. The Malian midfielder scored the lone goal in the loss to Tenerife B (2-1) and found the back of the net again yesterday, scoring a decisive goal that allowed CD Estepona to secure all three points against the Seville-based team. Meanwhile, Ale Contreras also joined the list with a crucial goal to defeat CD Don Benito (3-1).

On offense, Ariel Herrero and Pablo Aguilar round out the list of goal scorers. The former scored a brace from the penalty spot against the team from Extremadura, while the Estepona youth product opened the scoring—also from the penalty spot—in the victory over Salerm Puente Genil.

Seven scorers, three lines, and ten goals. The numbers paint a picture of a CD Estepona team that finds solutions in different areas of the field and is expanding its offensive resources. In such a demanding league, having players capable of contributing to the scoreboard from different positions can make all the difference. This variety multiplies the options for causing damage to the opponent and makes it difficult for defenses to focus their attention on a single threat.

The first six matchdays point to a clear conclusion: CD Estepona has seen seven different players find the back of the net. Defenders, midfielders, and forwards have all contributed to a high-scoring start that places the red-and-white squad among the division’s top scorers. With the bold, attacking style that characterizes Manolo Sánchez, the team will seek to maintain this ability to find solutions in front of the opponent’s goal and make it one of its hallmarks.

At Estepona, scoring isn’t the domain of any one player. For now, it has seven names.
