*The affiliate team hosts Mijas with its sights set on securing a playoff spot*

The reserve team hosts CD Mijas this Sunday. It’s a match in which our team aims to secure its spot in the promotion playoffs, and what better way to do it than in front of our fans.

For this match, Antonio Sánchez will likely have several players back—those who have served their suspension, those who were away on travel, and those who were injured, even though they haven’t trained normally. However, he will also have to deal with numerous injury-related absences and players who are being treated with extra care.

Despite all the setbacks, the team, as is their custom, has completed a great week of training, bringing up players from the youth team and thoroughly preparing for this crucial match, so we can head into the Easter break with a playoff spot in hand.

In contrast, their rival, Mijas, is playing for its life to stay in the division. They currently occupy a relegation spot and are 3 points behind Ronda, which marks the safety line. So for them, this match is a true final.

And to make them even more dangerous, they arrive with sky-high morale after stringing together two consecutive victories, the latest of which came last week against one of the favorites, Atlético Estación. Therefore, we cannot afford to let our guard down, as at this stage of the season, any lapse in concentration comes at a very high cost.

From the Club, the coaching staff, and the players, we want to once again call on our great fans to make the boys feel supported during this crucial match so that we can all celebrate a historic achievement together: the reserve team’s advancement to the promotion playoffs for the Division of Honor.

As a prelude, our boys will be out on Saturday supporting the first team in their crucial match against Extremadura, as they aim to secure those vital 3 points that will bring them closer to their goal of staying up.

The match will take place this Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Francisco Muñoz Pérez Stadium. LET’S GO, GUYS! LET’S GO, ESTEPONA! ❤️💙🔥
