CD Estepona 0 - 1 Recreativo de Huelva
Goal: Caye Quintana (81')

Recreativo de Huelva took three golden points from the Muñoz Pérez Stadium after winning by the minimum (0-1) to a CD Estepona that once again showed its problems at the start of the season. Caye Quintana's goal in the 81st minute decided a match in which the locals wasted their best chances in the first half.

The Reds, spurred on by their fans, started brightly and had two very clear chances in the boots of Dani Sancho. The first crossed too far, grazing the post, and the second ended up in the hands of Jero Larios, safe under Decano's posts. From that point on, Estepona lost freshness and Recreativo, well positioned and maturing the match with the calm that the category demands, began to impose itself in the second plays.

The local resistance was sustained largely thanks to the figure of Alfonso Liceras, who was the best of his team with several interventions of merit. However, the wear and tear took its toll in the final minutes. In the 81st minute, Caye Quintana caught a ball inside the area and sent it into the back of the net, leaving the Estepona crowd frozen.

The local coach, Mikel Llorente, was left shaken after signing the worst league start of the club since it has been in the Second Federation. The defeat leaves Estepona in a delicate situation and with his bench in question.

On the visiting side, the emotional moment was starring the Estepona player Álex Carrasco, who entered the field in the 77th minute and received a warm ovation from his fans despite wearing the rival's jersey.

The Muñoz Pérez stadium, which did not reach two thousand spectators, presented a discreet entry for what was expected against a historic of Spanish soccer. The schedule also did not help to improve the attendance in an afternoon where Recre confirmed its trade and Estepona again ran out of answers.
